Tıp Uzmanlık Eğitimi Kabul Sınavı veya Tıpta Uzmanı Sınavı (TUS), Türkiye'de tıp fakültesini bitiren mezunların uzmanlık eğitimi tercihinde bulunabilmeleri için gereken branş seçme sınavı olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Yönetmelikte belirlenen kişiler, özellikle tıp fakültesi mezunları olmak üzere, veteriner hekim, diş hekimi ve kimya bölümü gibi bölümlerden mezun olan kişiler de bu sınava girmektedirler. Tıp fakültesini bitiren her bireye "Pratisyen Hekim" unvanı verilmektedir. Pratisyen hekimler herhangi bir alanda uzmanlık eğitimi almamışlardır. Yapılan tus sonucuna göre bir bölüme yerleştirilmektedir. Üç ile altı yıl arasında değişmekte olan süre zarfında uzmanlık eğitimi verilmektedir. Tıpta uzmanlık sınavı, tıp mezunlarının çeşitli alanlarda uzmanlık kazanmak için çaba sarf ettikleri bir sınavdır. Sınav yerleri Ankara, İstanbul ve İzmir olmak üzere üç merkezde yapılmaktadır. İlkbahar ve sonbahar olarak yılda iki kez sınav yapılmaktadır. Yapılan Tıpta Uzmanı Sınavı ile yeterli puanı ve başarı sıralamasını sağlayabilen bireyler, Sağlık Bakanlığı'na bağlı bir eğitim ve araştırma hastaneleri veya bir adli tıp kurumunda uzmanlık eğitimi almaya başlamaktadırlar. Daha sonra seçtikleri bölümün uzmanlık eğitimini tamamlayarak uzman doktor olabilmektedirler. Uzman doktor olabilmek için tıp fakültesini bitiren bireylerin tıpta uzmanlık sınavına girmeleri gerekmektedir. Uzmanlık tercihinde bulunmak isteyen adayın, tıp fakültesini bitirmiş olması gerekmektedir. Aynı zamanda dil şartı olarak ÖSYM tarafından belirlenen İngilizce sınavlarından en az elli puan alınması gerekmektedir. Tıp fakültelerinde verilen altı yıllık eğitimin tamamı soru olarak TUS’da sorulmaktadır.
