Uzun yolculuklar ile hedefe sağlıklı ve güvenli bir şekilde bozulmadan taşınması gereken gıdaların paketlerinin içerisinde taze durmasını sağlayan paketçiklere oksijen emiciler denilmektedir. Bir diğer adı oksijen absorber olan bu paketler çevresinde bulunan oksijeni zamanla emer ve paketlenmiş gıdaların oksijen ile temas etmesini engelleyerek bozulmasını engeller ve uzun süre taze kalmalarını sağlar.
